Open Up To A New Choice!

November 6, 2007

What is a choice? A choice is a decision. What is a decision? A decision is the result of a situation, a variable which is then processed through our filters, which includes our beliefs.

Perhaps the question can then be asked – what is a belief? A belief is a feeling of absolute certainty. So you may ask, “what’s the point?”

The point is that our lives are made up of choices which stem from our feelings and our emotions. Our emotions guide our lives. Many times emotions seem difficult to comprehend and to understand because we live in our own bodies and our own worlds with our emotions. We are too close to the situation.

Primarily, we have 20/20 vision when we are the third party. This is very important because we are not attached to the situation, nor the outcome; our filters are not manipulating the situation. Our feelings drive our lives. In fact they are the fuel to create or not create anything.

Emotions cause us to lose weight, to get a new job, to start a new business, and to fall in love. These feelings are the reason for wars, for overeating, for politics and political debates. Everything stems from our emotions.

How has your life been so far to this point? What in your life needs to change? What are you doing to produce the necessary results?

Our emotions are the primary reason why we attract certain things into our lives or whether we repel them. Maybe it is a feeling of excitement, of peace, of joy, of happiness that determines whether you engage in a certain activity. Perhaps it is a feeling of certainty, significance, intelligence, or comfort that drives you.

Are you getting the results that you want? If so, great! What can you do to get better results or to increase them? If you are not getting the results, the answer is simple, something needs to change.  What do you need to change?

What do you do when you don’t know how to change? To whom do you turn? I would encourage you to consider an expert in this particular area of your life. Perhaps a skilled trainer or coach would be the best resource.

Your life is easy to change. It is you who may not be as willing. Again, this comes down to your emotions. Once your have your emotions the way that you want (by getting rid of the things that hold you back including fears, lingering attachments to significant emotional events, limiting beliefs, and limiting decisions) you can begin to arrange your emotions in the way that you ought to have them in order to attract your ideal life.

How do you change your emotions you may ask? Great question. There are many ways, some are quick and easy, some are not. The choice is yours. I encourage you to take notice of the wonderful things that come into your life and be willing to take advantage of the opportunities when they arise. (***Hint, hint, wink, wink***)

Live for the moment and prepare for the future!
