Many people wonder why things are the way that they are. They wonder why they can’t have something like a new house, a certain car, a particular amount of money, or perhaps even that special someone. Maybe they want a new job, a new stream of income, or some sort of new blessing. Many are doomed to never have those things come to fruition simply because of their existing beliefs.

Beliefs cause everything in our world to happen. I’ll repeat that for emphasis, beliefs cause EVERYTHING in our world to happen. Quite frankly, starting to believe in something new may be the very first thing for you to consider if you want for your life to change.

You may say to yourself that you want to change, yet you do not know how. As a side note, this is where a skilled, trained coach comes in to play; know that you can change if you want to change.

Interestingly, a belief is nothing more than a feeling. That’s right… a belief is a feeling. More specifically, a belief is a feeling of certainty. Certainty IS the feeling. A feeling of certainty is a feeling that something will or will not come to pass. Or whether or not it will come true. The little key here is whether you believe it to be true or not, that is the truth to you. That belief becomes your reality. In a quote by Henry Ford, Ford said, “whether believe you can or believe you can’t, you’re right.” This could not be more true. The reason is that based upon your beliefs, so too go your actions or inactions. Then based upon your actions come your results – all based upon your initial beliefs.

Beliefs unlock your world, or they become your jailor. Nothing in our world happens separate from your beliefs. And you and your beliefs are truly the key. Ultimately, in terms of the Law of Attraction and having the life that you want for yourself, your beliefs are the cornerstone.

To start down a different path, you must consider your beliefs. As a coaching point, begin to learn. Learn the ways of the Law of Attraction. Learn how to apply specific principles. Learn how the vital principles shape your life and know how to use these technologies to influence your beliefs, as is appropriate for you. Only then will you be able to steer your life in the direction of your choosing – your ultimate destiny!

Many people do plenty of work to change their life, yet they neglect to look at the most important component, themselves. Typically, people tend to focus on being busy and doing many activities. They tend to focus only on what they can do. In fact, their priorities in life primarily revolve around what they have, then all of the tasks that they need to do, and maybe eventually, they begin to figure out who they are and what kind of life they want to have; bluntly, this is all backwards.

Overall, in order to truly have the life you desire, a different perspective needs to be considered. In order to create a different quality of life, of course you must actively do certain things. Additionally, it is alright to have things as well, yet this ought not to be your primary focus. Most importantly you must first be the right kind of person to have the kinds of things that you truly want to have and there is a strategy for doing all of this.

First and foremost, you must change who you are, at least as you see yourself before you can transform your life. This point is paramount because as you utilize great strategies as the Law of Attraction, because you will only attract the types of things that would be attracted to the type of person that you are – this change in who you believe that you are is called your identity which steers and guides your entire life.

Identity has been viewed differently by religions, philosophies and other like systems for thousands of years without sufficient dissemination to the masses. Identity is easily defined as a series of beliefs that you have about yourself; it’s that simple. The real question about identity comes in the comprehension of what a belief is.

A belief is a feeling of absolute certainty. How’s that for simplicity? All a belief happens to be is a feeling of absolute certainty, on all topics centered around beliefs. The question may then become – what does that mean, a feeling of absolute certainty?

For example, you may be reading this message while you are sitting down. Did you investigate your seat, do a twelve point diagnostic check or do a material stress test on the chair before you sat down? The answer, most likely is, no, you didn’t. Why not? The reason that you did not go to such extreme lengths to confirm your seat before you sat down is because you trust, or have certainty in that chair probably because you have sat down in that chair hundreds, if not thousands of times, previously. Furthermore, how many times have you successfully ever sat down in your life? Ten of thousands of times I would believe. Over this time and through repetition you have developed a certainty, a trust in chairs that they would support your weight, and now you generalize and trust that chair. If every time you sat in a chair you fell on the ground, you probably would check every chair every time that you sat down. This factor would be further described by saying that you did have certainty in your chair whether it would support you or not. Overall, this example gives you a great scenario in which certainty can be applied and how it is relevant to your life.

In relation to your identity, when you restructure your beliefs and feelings of certainty about who you believe that you are, you restructure your results and therefore the quality of your life. When you have the faith, the trust, and the certainty that you will reach your ultimate outcome for your life, you will unconsciously begin down that path. When you restructure your identity and change your beliefs about who you are, you will automatically start living your life at a different level because you make better and more specifically directed decisions; all of which will aid your efforts to live your ideal life as you become more successful implementing the laws of the universe such as one of the key laws, the Law of Attraction. Simply put, your identity and how you see yourself is the key to having the ultimate life that you desire!

Take the Next Step

February 27, 2009

Many people spend a large portion of their life saying that they want to grow – and I believe them. One of the factors is that many do not know what to do. They stress and strain to gain clarity to find the perfect way or the perfect thing to do. They toil over their approach or their decisions. Simply, they wonder what is the next step?

The next step can look like a number of things. It can range from reading books, reading an article, taking seminars, going back to school, watching a video on You Tube, or simply just meditating or praying while waiting for inspiration to hit. The options are bountiful and they are all around us.

Too many get worried about what they need to be doing. The truth is whatever you feel and believe that you ought to be doing is exactly just that – what you should be doing. It is important to trust God, trust your Unconscious Mind, and trust circumstances. Simply put, trust and use the Law of Attraction to bring the things to you that you need to have or be doing. In fact, if the results are not what you need, you probably need to change your focus and your procedures – it will be obvious.

In the meantime, if you have a preference on a particular topic, follow it. If you feel that you learn better via a particular medium, pursue it. There is no right and wrong set of means by which to do something when it comes to learning and growing, rather the way in which you ideally learn or simply prefer to learn and grow is always the best way. Remember, life is a series of steps that get you to where you want to go.

In many cases, you or someone may really not know what to do. The simple answer is – do something, do anything. It is not as important which step to take, but rather, take the step that you know that you need to make.  Even if you screw up, you can always go back and make a good decision again.  You have a pretty good idea of what you like and what you would like to happen; make it happen.

My only piece of advice comes from Dr. Stephen Covey who simply states to “start with the end in mind” and get after it. This means figure out what you would like to have happen and constantly pursue it – work towards it. Just like any trip, it is always best to have a rough estimate of where you want to go, yet keep in mind that you can always make adjustments as you need to.

Most importantly, right now, just get started, and do what is in front of you in the order of what is most important to you. Eventually, you will learn to quit stalling. Again, for now, strike decisively; get going – take the next step.

The phrase “wake up from the nightmare” has been used by or is known by nearly everyone. This overused phrase has been used for many of life’s circumstances. People might refer to a nightmare as a state of their life, the economy, their job, their relationships, about their finances, or about a myriad of things.

First of all, let’s consider a nightmare. A nightmare is a series of delusions of the mind that are constructed and interpreted to be real. These factors are obviously delusions of the individual’s mind, moreover, one creates the manifestations of a nightmare by initially creating an emotional attachment due to the mind’s original interpretation. Remember, even though these delusions appear to be real, everyone knows that nightmares, or dreams in general, are simply a creation of the mind.

Next, remember when one wakes up, they enter back into the “real world”. Here in the “real world,” the truth is, again, a matter of perceptions of what is occurring. If someone cuts you off in traffic and you get upset, you are the one who is upset. If you lose a job, you are the one who decides how to react and feel about that situation. Truthfully, you create your world based upon your interpretations; therefore, you must carefully choose your meanings.

In order to change your life, you must begin to change your perception of what is happening to you. To create the change you want, wake up from your current reality to understand how things really are, change your perceptions of the factors in your life, then rewire and get past the patterns that hold you back. Remember, you are in control of your life and your life will begin to take on a different meaning when you take the first step, and wake up!

Two Wolves

February 9, 2009

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

As You Dance With Life

December 1, 2008

What is it about this day that you love? What is it about this moment that you treasure? There is something within your life that compels you to know and experience even more of life.

What is it, at the heart of things, that drives you so? What makes it so wonderful to float peacefully on a calm sea under the warm sun? Why does the beauty of a distant mountain peak touch your heart so profoundly? There is a reason why you have opinions about a wide range of matters large, small and in between.

There is a guiding purpose at the heart of each sincere choice you make. As you dance with life each day, your steps follow a rhythm that stays true to the genuine person inside, no matter what else may or may not happen.

Though you interact intimately with all that is around you, something within you is apart from it all, relishing the experience. Breathe deeply the sweet, fresh air of being. And keep dancing, as each unfolding moment brings a brand new verse of the song you’ve always known.
